And the winner is…ME!

Yep, I won the First Prize of $50 in a poetry contest, which was part of the Shore Cultural Centre’s “Shore Folk Festival” for performing “Wounded”. Sure, I was the only one who showed up, but the judges did like my work!

In addition to the cash prize, I also got to read “Wounded” on stage at the evening concert! Here’s the video of that performance:

Wish me luck!

I will be participating in a poetry contest today as part of the Shore Cultural Center’s Folk Festival. Once again, I will be performing “Aftermath of the Tragedy”. The contest starts at 3:00 PM, so if you can make it, please come support me! If I am a winner, I will receive a cash prize and perform in the Headline Concert, which begins at 7:00 PM! Other poetry events in the festival include children’s poetry workshops at 1:00 and 2:00 PM, and an adult poetry contest at 4:00 PM! Here is a link to the Shore Cultural Center’s webpage for the Folk Festival: Wish me luck in the contest, and I hope to see you there!
