My Least Fav’rite Things: PART 3 (Parody of “My Favorite Things”)

It’s baaaack!

I’ve just composed a third installment in my series of parodies of “My Favorite Things!” I hope you’ll enjoy this latest lighthearted tribute to my personal pet peeves as much as earlier audiences seemed to enjoy part 1 and part 2!

Some More Of My Least-Fav’rite Things (Parody of “My Favorite Things”)

Greetings!
As those of you may recall who have either followed this blog for awhile and/or read my chapbook, Smorgasbord (HINT: Please follow my blog & buy my book! I promise you won’t regret it!), one of my poems from awhile back is a parody of “My Favorite Things” from “The Sound Of Music”. My version is titled “My Least-Fav’rite Things”, and I’m happy to announce that my first new poem following my recent downtime is, in addition to its being a second parody itself, a sequel to the earlier parody! I’ve named this one “Some More Of My Least-Fav’rite Things”:

“Hello McZee” (Parody of “Hello McFly” by Relient K)

Perfection!

If that sounds familiar, then you may already be acquainted with Microsoft 3D Movie Maker and its host, McZee. If that is not the case, however, please explore some of the many available online 3DMM resources before reading the following 3DMM-themed song lyrics, which parody “Hello McFly” by Relient K (The original song can be heard in the video at the end of this post):

Among The Roots

Greetings once again! On this, the official first day of Spring, I am proud to present my latest original song lyrics! I have not yet composed any music to accompany these lyrics, but I believe that this piece is capable of conveying the intended tone without assistance.

I am both pleased and morally obliged to credit the late Walkin’ Jim Stoltz, whose name you may recognize from three of my past poems which he also inspired, for writing and recording the song “Old Man From the Mountains”, which directly inspired this piece. Before you begin reading, please take a moment to visit his website and admire his legacy: Walkin’ Jim Stoltz’s Website

Here, without further introduction, is my new song, “Among The Roots”:

AOL (Parody of “Into The Night” By Santana Ft. Chad Kroeger)

Today was an emotionally strenuous day for me and my family (if you’re friends with me on Facebook, you may know why). Here, in deliberate contrast, is a comical song parody which I wrote as a birthday gift to my brother several years ago, and which I recently edited. If you are not familiar with the song I am parodying, please scroll to the bottom of this post (below the parody) and play the embedded video.

Gosh Darn My OCD (Parody of “God Bless The USA” by Lee Greenwood)

Salutations, friends and readers!

The song I am sharing today may be a parody, but it is no joke. Throughout my life thus far, I have endured Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in many of its disruptive manifestations, and I will continue to do so throughout all of the years of my life yet to come. In sharing this song, I hope to provide others with at least a tiny glimpse into my life with OCD.

In The Early Morning Moonlight

Hello, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the Spring holidays (especially April Fools Day 😛 )!

Here’s the other song I promised to post. It is a true story inspired by a real woman who I was interested in at the time. Enjoy!

(Darling I Would Do) Anything For You

I just realized something: I’ve written two songs that I haven’t shared yet! Here’s one of them: (Oh, one more thing: If you haven’t already done so, please click here to vote on whether or not I should create audio recordings of my poems and songs. Thanks!)

The Good Old Days

I am back! I blame my hiatus on a combination of writer’s block and preparation for school. Speaking of which, now that I am back in school, I may be forced to continue posting less often. I will do my best to keep the poetry coming regularly, but I make no promises. Please bear with me!

That said, today’s poem comes in the form of original song lyrics! This is a true story, too! Enjoy!

My Least-Fav’rite Things (Parody of “My Favorite Things”)

Welcome back! Today, I present for your enjoyment a set of song lyrics which I began working on many months ago and just finished moments ago! This is a parody of “My Favorite Things” from “The Sound Of Music”. Please enjoy and comment!
